Dilemma 4/10/09
And would you learn the spells that drowse my soul?
Work without Hope draws nectar in a sieve,
And Hope without an object cannot live.
--Samuel Taylor Coleridge
You have the magical power to stop one and only one of the following two scenarios. Which would you prevent?
1. You work in a mindless factory job that you hate.
2. You work in a high-pressure, high-stakes job that you hate.

I'd prevent #1. I'd rather have the stressful job where the day flies by than the one where you start counting the minutes left in the day the second you get to work.
It depends. Do I get a lot of cash for the high pressure job? If that is the case then I prevent #1.
If not I prevent #2. The mind numbing job wouldn't bother me in the least. I like to daydream and that would be easy at the mind numbing job.
#1 would suck
