Dilemma 4/23/09
When that I was and a little tiny boy,
With hey, ho, the wind and the rain,
A foolish thing was but a toy,
For the rain it raineth every day..
--William Shakespeare (Happy Birthday, Will!)
You have the magical power to stop one and only one of the following two scenarios. Which would you prevent?
1. Someone goes back in time and prevents Shakespeare from being born.
2. Someone goes back in time and prevents your closest friend from being born.

I can get another close friend.
I love Mr. Shakespeare but my closest friend and I have been friends for nearly 30 years and we are only 38. She is my soul sister and therefore irreplaceable. There are other writers whose works move me just as much and some even more. Sorry Mr. Shakespeare.
I was tempted to be selfish on this one (prevent #2), but then again, we are celebrating Will's b-day and also there's the matter of all that stuff he did for the English language/literature... No Shakespeare is a big change that would have a cascading effect on future events. So if #1 happens, #2 might also happen anyway (along with a bunch of other stuff). So I guess I'll prevent #1.
