1. Bananas die out.
2. Oranges die out.

Damn! Um... well I prefer bananas but the death of oranges would have a greater impact on American economy, I think. But bananas are so portable and so yummy...

I need the rest of the day for this one.

I choose that oranges die out and we keep bananas. While I would miss oranges, we would still have tangerines, tangelos, and clementines, which I think would keep me content.

OMG, this is the toughest dilemma yet. I also prefer bananas, though I like orange juice (NO PULP) and orange flavor in things (orange chicken, cranberry-orange scones)...

Man oh man.

You know, I will have to go with saving oranges. Wah.

Well... if it were just me, I'd probably save the orange. I'm not a fan of the texture of ripe bananas (green bananas are fine, as are banana baked goods nom nom ;-)). But... I think bananas are more of a staple food around the world than oranges, and as others have mentioned, there are other citrus fruits. So I'll save the banana.

Bananas are yucky. Oranges stay.

I've thought about this all day. Although I'm a native Floridian, I really just don't like oranges as much as bananas so for that simple reason, I smite thee, oranges!
