- You agree to take care of a friend's pet snake, and feed the snake a live mouse. You stay and watch the snake eat it.
- You are visiting a farm in a foreign country. Your host serves you fresh cow brains from one of the farm's cows, which you eat.

This is a no brainer. (Sorry.) I would prevent the second one. I'd like to avoid getting any Creutzfeldt-Jacob-like diseases, thanks. Also, I've watched a snake be fed, so I don't think #1 is too big a leap.
You did this on purpose.
That said, I would have picked the brains b/c I do try new & local foods when I travel. But given what Theryn said, the morbid person in me would likely watch the carnage just for my own personal safety. Plus to see if I could stand to watch it.
The whole argument flies out the window with the phrase "you agree to take care of a friend's pet snake..."
Prevent the second one. I would feel bad for the mouse, but hey, a snake's gotta eat. And I've already babysat a boa, which was way cool.
yeah, #2. As disturbed as I would be watching a snake eat a live mouse, I'd be far more disturbed by eating the brains of anything. I still have nightmares about Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.
But Erin, those were chilled. Even cubed up, like Jell-o!
