You have the magical power to stop one and only one of the following two scenarios. Which would you prevent?
1. Your local climate changes and you end up with blizzards six months out of the year.
2. Your local climate changes and you end up with drought and extremely hot temperatures six months out of the year.

We can (and do) deal w/ blizzards. I think the lack of water would be more difficult to overcome. Plus I've lived in a horribly dry climate. It really affects every aspect of life all year long. I prevent #2.
Much as I'm not a fan of snow, #2 would be far more devastating, so I'll prevent it. And then... I'd probably move ;-)
