I am trying to figure out how #1 would even be possible w/o completely bringing your entire life to a standstill. It seems to me that #1 would mean you are completely dependent on immediate family to do everything for you. You wouldn't be able to work in any normal fashion, or even do more mundane tasks that involved interactions with others (I'm assuming by "communicate" you mean all forms of communication so it wouldn't be possible to try some alternative to speaking/writing). So I guess I'd have to say prevent #1, even though #2 seems like an awfully high price to pay. I think this is the worst dilemma yet!
