You have the magical power to stop one and only one of the following two scenarios. Which would you prevent?
1. Your property is vandalized, and you have reason to believe your best friend's child is responsible.
2. Your best friend's property is vandalized, and you have reason to believe your child is responsible.

Hmm, I don't know which of these would be preferable. I'm actually thinking prevent neither, because then it's likely the two children were in it together, and thus best friend & I can work as a team to decide what happens next.
I'll prevent #1 b/c I hate conflict. I can deal with my own child better than someone else's.
