You have the magical power to stop one and only one of the following two scenarios. Which would you prevent?
1. Humans land on another planet, and the bacteria they bring with them wipes out all native life.
2. A meteorite releases alien bacteria on Earth that cause a disease pandemic.

In #1, the bacteria "wipes out all native life" on the other planet.
In #2, the bacteria cause "a disease pandemic" on Earth. There is no indication of which (or how many) species are affected by the pandemic (but probably not all or else that would have been stated as in #1) or how harmful the disease is, i.e. it may be some minor illness.
Therefore, I would prevent #1.
