Male lions are notoriously lazy. If I could fashion a weapon, I might be able to kill & eat a lion and use its hide somehow. A rhino, I don't think I could & I can't see any other benefit to the animals other than meat & hide. Now if it's a female lion, she might hunt & she'll show me where I can get food. So yeah, I'll take the lion, thanks,
Well, hmm. My first instinct is to prevent #2--not interested in messing with a rhino. But otoh, rhinos are herbivores! Lions, not so much. So I guess it depends on what there is to eat on this desert island. I'm thinking that it's probably more likely that there's a lot of vegetation that the rhino would find yummy than there are zebras and wildebeests and such for the lion to snack on. Which leaves... me! So I guess, in the end, I prevent #1.
